With outages still biting, Housing keeps Nueva Energía 2.0 running: it covers 100% of equipment and installation of renewable-energy systems — up to $30,000 — for owner-occupants of a single-family home. ¹

Who qualifies

• A household member must be a U.S. citizen, non-citizen national, or eligible immigrant. ¹
• Household income below 80% of HUD's area median (AMFI) for PR. ¹

Other help and credits

• The federal Solar Access (DOE) program closed applications in January 2026. ³
• If you buy on your own, the 30% federal tax credit still applies. ²
