How we detect outages
We use IODA, the Georgia Institute of Technology system that monitors global connectivity with independent signals: BGP routes, active network probing and observed traffic. It detects provider-level drops without relying on the company announcing them.
My internet is down but everything looks normal here
This page detects provider-level interruptions (island-wide or large areas), not individual faults. If your service is down: 1) check for a power outage in your area at coquilist.com/apagones — most internet drops in PR are power-related; 2) restart your router; 3) report to your provider: Liberty 1-877-722-2400, Claro 787-775-0000.
Why isn't my town listed
PR internet providers do not publish per-municipality outage data (unlike LUMA). Independent detection only reaches the network/provider level.
