Plenty to do across the island this weekend — most of it free and family-friendly:
Town patron-saint festivals
- Cidra: Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 — music, entertainment and family activities. 1
- Vieques: also the 16-19, with live music, kiosks, crafts and food. 1
Beach and music
- Los Tubos de Manatí: a weekend of music, beach, sports and family fun at Los Tubos beach. 2
Coming up
- Güiro y Flamboyán Festival, Peñuelas (July 24-26). 1
- Cuna de la Salsa Fest, La Guancha, Ponce (July 31-Aug 2). 1
Bring water, sunscreen and a hat — there's a heat advisory, and mind the drought in some towns.
