AutoExpreso launches "One Seal Only" campaign in Manatí: validate which sticker to keep on your windshield before peeling off the other

If you still have two stickers on your windshield — the AutoExpreso seal and the Marbete Digital seal — this weekend you can finally settle the question. AutoExpreso launched an educational campaign called "Un solo sello" (One Seal Only), and this Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30, its staff will be at the PR-22 toll plaza in Manatí guiding drivers and validating, case by case, which seal they should keep on their vehicle 1.
The main warning is simple but important: do not peel off either seal until you verify which one is actually registered. "First, you should validate the information in CESCO Digital and in your AutoExpreso account, register or update the corresponding seal, and then you can keep everything on a single seal," the agency recommended when it announced the initiative on Thursday 1.
Where the confusion comes from
Since September 1, 2023, the AutoExpreso toll seal also works as a Marbete Digital, so a single sticker serves both purposes 24. But during the transition, drivers whose AutoExpreso seal was not eligible were issued a new seal, and many ended up with two stickers on the windshield without knowing which one was the right one 24. "We want to make the process easier for the driver. Your Marbete Digital and the AutoExpreso seal serve the same function, so you do not need two seals on the vehicle's windshield," AutoExpreso explained, adding that the campaign seeks to keep drivers "up to date and correctly registered" and to "avoid confusion when using the tolls" 1.
The campaign began in recent days in the media and on AutoExpreso's social networks, and this weekend it moves to an in-person phase at the toll plazas 1.

What it means for you
If you have a single seal and your account is up to date, this campaign changes nothing for you 1. If you have two seals on the windshield, you should validate which one is registered before peeling off either of them, because removing the wrong one can leave you with a sticker that is not linked to your toll account or your marbete 12. Keeping a single seal — the correct one — is what the agency recommends to avoid confusion when passing through the tolls 1. The verification can be completed online, without visiting a CESCO office, through CESCO Digital and AutoExpreso's website or app 23. And if you would rather have someone sort it out for you in person, AutoExpreso staff will be in Manatí this Saturday and Sunday for exactly that 1.
How to do it / Checklist
- Do not remove either seal from the windshield until you confirm which one is correct 1.
- Log into CESCO Digital and check which seal appears registered as your Marbete Digital 12.
- Log into your AutoExpreso account at autoexpreso.com or in the app and check which seal is active for tolls 13.
- Locate the seal's identification number, which begins with "PRHT", to cross-check it in both systems 2.
- Register or update the corresponding seal so that a single sticker covers both the marbete and the tolls 12.
- Only then peel off the extra seal 1.
- If you have questions, call AutoExpreso at 1-888-688-1010 or the DTOP line at 1-833-938-6777, or stop by the Manatí plaza this Saturday or Sunday for in-person help 12.
What's next
After the weekend in Manatí, the campaign will extend to the toll plazas in Carolina, Ponce, Buchanan, Ceiba, Caguas Sur, Salinas and Arecibo, although AutoExpreso has not yet published specific dates for those stops 1. The educational campaign will also keep running in the media and on the agency's social networks 1. At CoquiList we will keep an eye on the schedule for the upcoming plazas and on any change to the seal registration process.
